Harold Sleeper started playing the guitar in the 5th grade. In 8th grade he was asked to join his school's jazz band where he learned most of his technical composing skills. Around the same time he received a cheap Yamaha keyboard and started composing music with it. In the later years of high school and beyond, he become increasingly interested in cosmic consciousness.
